Sanctuary Wealth has appointed former senior Merrill Lynch figure Phillip Porpora, Jr as managing director.
Porpora, who was previously a market executive with Merrill Lynch, will join as a member of the senior leadership team following garden leave. He will focus on supporting Sanctuary Wealth's partner firm advisors as well as business development initiatives.
After 10 years of rising through the ranks at Merrill Lynch, Porpora was named market executive in the New Mexico market. In his most recent role, he was promoted to ME for the Greater Kansas City market. Porpora also served on the Merrill Lynch Millennial Advisory Board from 2014 to 2017 and is FINRA series 7, 66, 9, 10, and 31 licensed.
The Sanctuary Wealth network includes 53 partner firms across 20 states with over $16.0 billion in assets under advisement.
Bain & Co
Bain & Company has appointed Debra McCoy, an expert in sustainable investing. McCoy has rejoined the firm where she started her career, as a partner in its global sustainability and corporate Responsibility practice.
She will be based in Bain's San Francisco office.
McCoy most recently served as a managing director at BlackRock and head of sustainable investing for a team actively managing more than $200 billion in assets. She has also worked in global development investing and research at Stanford University, environmentally aware infrastructure investing with a sovereign wealth group, and institutional and global consumer banking at a multinational bank.
